Update: July 04, 2010 - The new Town of Pahrump website was launched by Brian K Media & Design earlier today and is now online at it's new permanent domain: www.pahrumpnv.org.

The Town of Pahrump was in need of a new website built on a solid content management system that would give town staff the ability to edit the content of the site without having to learn code or programming.

"I chose to use the Expression Engine content management system for this project due to it's rock solid stability, and flexibility." said Brian K. Shoemake, owner of Brian K Media & Design in Pahrump.

"It's an enterprise level system, which means it's specifically designed for large business and government sites. It's literally light years ahead of consumer level CMS's like Joomla or Wordpress, and will provide a highly reliable system for the town to build on for many years into the future. The security features alone are far better than anything else out there. Everything just works so well I know my clients will be very happy with it. "

The new site was completely hand-coded and custom designed by Brian K Media to suit the needs of the Town of Pahrump and the western image the town wanted to project online. "We even designed the new logo for the town in order to facilitate a consistent corporate image."

One of the new features on the site is the "Photo of the Week" which gives local residents the opportunity to contribute to the site by sending in their best photographs relating to our local community. Each week a new photo will be selected and featured on the Home page along with the photographer's name.

On the government side, there are literally hundreds of files available for download on the site. From the Agendas and Minutes, to the Town Ordinances, budget & Finance, and many other public files indexed and available for download anytime.

Due to the flexibility of the content management system built in, the staff will be able to expand on the site, and add pages, sections, categories, photographs, and articles, anytime with ease.

In a continuing effort to provide the residents and businesses of Pahrump with the best possible service, Brian K Media & Design will be providing on-going hosting and webmaster services to the Town of Pahrump indefinitely.

"We will also be transferring the hosting of the Fire Department website and the Parks & Recreation website to our hosting as well. which will provide one convenient central location for all of the town's websites."
